NOTES

A room acts on everything inside it: the people who live there, and the objects they keep. Air, light, sound, temperature, and the materials themselves all leave their mark over time.

Notes is the research behind the atelier's decisions: what a room does to a material, and what a material does back. Each chapter takes one condition and works it through, from the research to what it means in practice.

None of this assumes a home can be made perfectly controlled. The aim is measured attention where material choice and placement have real influence, addressed early rather than corrected later. These decisions tend to compound.

Each chapter can be read on its own. In practice, these systems rarely act alone.
